Some Of Our Students Say....
I am a firefighter by trade and nature. I finished my associate degree in traditional classrooms, having to drive more than 100 miles for each day of class. There were no B.S. programs anywhere around, especially in fire. The online program made it possible for me to take classes without all of the driving, and the wasted time and money associated with the driving. It would have been very difficult to complete a degree without this program, and the degree would not have been in the fire field. The program has helped me come to terms with new teaching methods, and in fact I am starting my first class online as an instructor tonight.

ECU's distance education program has allowed me to add a new dimension to my career that would have been completely impossible with traditional higher education. This specific type of training is not available to me where I live. But because geography is no longer an obstacle, I can "attend" my classes while tending to my very busy personal life some 200 miles away.
