Fayetteville State University is a regional public comprehensive university providing quality education to its students through a basic liberal arts foundation, specialized professional training, and specific graduate programs. Beginning in fall 2004, Fayetteville State University began offering several programs in an online format in conjunction with the North Carolina Community College System. The program includes criminal justice, sociology, and psychology. The initial two years of study will be completed through the local community college, either online or on campus. Upper-division courses will then be completed through FSU Online. Counselors will evaluate all transfer credits form the community college, and all transfer requirements on campus must be met in online programs. A minimum of a "C" is required to receive credit. Even though the programs are offered online, the same rigorous academic standards are maintained, and students complete exactly the same course requirements.
