Overview
UNC Pembroke is a comprehensive university offering degree programs at the baccalaureate and master's levels. Its instructional programs are organized into a College of Arts and Sciences, a School of Business, a School of Education, and a School of Graduate Studies. With a total enrollment of 5,827, the university offers 43 bachelor's and 17 master's degrees. UNC Pembroke is committed to equality of opportunity.

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) is committed to providing a variety of distance education opportunities that contribute to its mission to meet the educational needs of students and serve the community and society at large by providing cultural and educational leadership. The programs offered through the Office of Continuing Education and Distance Education help carry out the purposes of the University.
Many of our distance education students have family, work, and other responsibilities that may not allow them to come to our campus regularly because of schedule, location, or time limitations. Distance education helps to fulfill UNCP's mission by offering certificates and degree programs that meet the needs of a diverse group of students. Our faculty members are committed to serving your learning needs and can be reached by email, fax, phone, or other web-based technologies. Most of your learning takes place at a place convenient for you—including your personal computer—although, depending on the program, you may be required occasionally to come to a location for an exam or laboratory exercise.
