Master of Wood and Paper Science
North Carolina State University
Overview
North Carolina State University's master's degree in wood and paper science will prepare you to advance in your current career in wood products, paper manufacturing, or an allied industry.
You will choose a specialty in either wood products or paper science and engineering. After you take a core curriculum of fundamental courses, you will pursue a coherent applied program of courses in your specialty and cognate electives, capping your coursework with a research project on which you will work closely with a faculty advisor.
The courses in your program are designed and taught by regular NC State faculty. Lectures are captured, digitized, and delivered to you completely online by streaming video, and are enhanced by various interactive Internet-based learning applications.
The online courses are the same as the on-campus courses in terms of content, quality, and academic rigor, and there is a high level of communication via the web, e-mail, and phone conversations.
Requirements
You must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution, with a sufficient mathematics and chemistry background.
