Program Information

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University's Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Safety degree will prepare you to pursue a career in business and industry globally. You will develop both technical and safety management skills for industrial applications and entrepreneurship, and will learn to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control workplace stress and accidents.

The courses in the online Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety major are the same courses offered by the on-campus program, but you take your courses entirely online. Full-time NCA&T faculty design and teach your online courses. You will stay in contact with your instructors, participate in classroom activities, and complete all the same work as students studying on campus, all via the Internet. To succeed in the environmental health and safety major, you must have a strong background in math and science, and good communication and computer skills.

Course delivery is asynchronous and entirely online, enhanced by various interactive Internet-based learning applications. You must have access to a modern computer with high-speed connectivity to the internet.

NCA&T is an educational partner with the eArmyU initiative and a member of Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC).

The program is accredited by the National Association of Industrial Technology.

To earn the Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety, you must earn at least 126 semester credit hours. Courses outside of your major may not necessarily be available online.

See the online curriculum guide for a full list of completion requirements.
