UNC Online Update as of March 27, 2020 at 2:00pm:

On March 22, UNC Online informed instructors and students that due to the global nature of the pandemic, our online proctoring provider (Examity) is no longer able to conduct upcoming webcam/online proctored appointments, as their global facilities have shut down.

After exploring potential solutions at length, UNC Online has come to the conclusion that Examity will not be able to provide the UNC Online Proctoring System with a viable solution for exam proctoring during this academic term. Therefore, on Monday, March 30, all Spring Term exams will be removed from the UNC Online Proctoring System; students' appointments will be cancelled and refunds will be processed automatically within 3-5 business days.

Instructors do not need to take any action individually; all exams will be removed using an automated process. Likewise, students do not need to request refunds for any future appointments; they will be given full refunds that will be processed automatically.
