Courses

In addition to online degree programs, UNC institutions offer individual online courses. Click on the subject area headings listed below to find online courses that interest you. Some courses are listed in more than one content area.

Most of the courses listed are part of formal degree programs at specific UNC institutions.  These courses are intended for students enrolled at the institution offering the course, but they may have class space to accommodate students seeking transfer credit from other campuses. To enroll in these online classes, follow the application and enrollment procedures outlined by the campus at the web links provided in the course information.  (Note: If you intend to apply credit from an online course to a degree program in which you are enrolled, you should first check with your program's academic adviser to ensure that the course is a good match for your academic requirements and that the credit will transfer.)

Some courses are open to the general public.  The courses offered through UNC Chapel Hill's Carolina Courses Online, for example, have been developed particularly for students (including high school seniors) who are not seeking a degree at UNC Chapel Hill.

If you are a high school student, click here for additional information about online courses that are offered specifically for high school students. UNC campuses will be developing courses to be offered at high school sites, such as those offered by UNC Greensboro's iSchool.
