East Carolina University - Policies

Students who wish to enroll at ECU through the online inter-institutional agreement must provide the required information via the UNC Online form and submit the completed form prior to the published deadline for registration for the term the student wishes to register for.  No requests for late registration will be considered.

Students visiting ECU via UNC Online will be registered for course sections if they have the permission of their home institution and meet all of the registration requirements of East Carolina University.  In addition, students must meet published prerequisites and restrictions for courses and there must be seats available in the courses in order for the University Registrar’s Office to honor these requests for registration.

Students who wish to enroll at Elizabeth City State University through the On-Line Inter-Institutional Agreement must complete the required information on the UNC Online form and submit this completed form prior to the published deadline for requesting registration.  No late request will be considered.

Visiting inter-institutional students will be registered for course sections if they have the permission of their home institution and meet all of the registration deadlines of Elizabeth City State University.  In addition, students must meet published pre-requisites and restrictions for courses and there must be seats available in the courses in order for the University Registrar’s Office to honor these request for registration.

Fayetteville State University - Policies

For non FSU students who wish to enroll in a course at Fayetteville State University, you will be admitted as a special visiting student.   The application fee will be waived.  You will receive an email of your acceptance and additional registration information. You are responsible for ensuring payment is made at the time stated in the academic calendar located at http://catalog.uncfsu.edu/calendar.htm and clicking on the appropriate term.

North Carolina Central University - Policies

  • Student must complete the required Online Interinstitutional Registration form and submit prior to the NCCU registration deadlines.

UNC Asheville - Policies

  • The following policies govern the participation of non-UNCA students in the UNC Online program. For all purposes, the home institution is the institution where the student is seeking a degree. The host institution is the institution where the student will take the online course(s). 

  1. Student must submit the request through the UNC Online site prior to the first day of the class. 
  2. Student must be eligible to enroll in UNC Online course.
  3. Student must follow the drop/withdrawal schedules and the refund schedule of the home institution. To add courses, registration must be open at both the home and host institution. For a listing of those dates, please refer to the UNC Asheville Academic Calendar.
  4. Student must receive approval from the Registrar at their home institution

UNC Wilmington - Policies

Students from other universities may attend UNCW as visiting students. The university does not assume responsibility in determining a student’s course selection when such credits are to be transferred elsewhere. Please consult with your home campus advisor to ensure the course(s) will transfer back and that you have the necessary prerequisites to be successful.

The Office of the Registrar will automatically send your UNCW course grade to your home institution, upon completion.

Enrollment as a visiting student in no way obligates UNCW to continue your enrollment at the expiration of the visiting period.

Winston-Salem State University - Policies

Students who wish to enroll at WSSU through the online inter-institutional agreement must fill out the required information in the UNC Online Form and submit this completed form prior to the publish deadline for registration.  No late requests will be considered.

 Registration dates are listed on the academic calendar (http://www.wssu.edu/WSSU/CurrentStudents/Academic+Calendar+2007-09.htm).  All students must register at the beginning of each semester whether they were in attendance the preceding semester or not.  This also applies to students whose schedules include courses that will not begin until mid-semester (blocked courses).  No student will be permitted to register later than the time specified on the calendar.  No student will receive credit for any course or courses for which he/she is not properly registered.
